SIMPLE GIFT PACKAGING
Updated: Jan 28, 2022
One of the many things I love about paper crafting is making matching packaging for my handmade cards. And it’s even better when it matches the gift!
I made the box from a piece of 12" x 12" cardstock. It's scored on all four sides at 3" and I cut a slit on the score marks to be able to adhere the sides together. It was so quick to make.
Some colour coordinated ribbon from my stash and a bit of tissue paper, and voila, bespoke gift box!
The card is a "very fancy fold" using the Expressions in Ink DSP and the stamp set Nothing's Better Than (which we'll be using in January classes).
I bought the beautiful succulents in a tea cup from the very talented Virginia @virginia_mawer_handmade
who created this stunning display of miniature succulents in a very stylish (& a little bit cheeky) tea cup in pinks, white and gold. So it was naturally the perfect partner for the card!
If you'd like to learn how to make your own cards and gift packaging, join me at a class. I teach in Forest Lodge, in the Inner West of Sydney on the second Wednesday and Saturday of every month. The next classes are 8 & 11 December, 10am - 12 noon. Leave a comment if you'd like to book in. But be quick, spaces fill fast.
