HAPPY BIRTHDAY EASEL CARD USING THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY THINLITS DIE
Updated: Jan 28, 2022
Would you like to make a birthday card with a little something extra? But you don't want complicated! You'd like to make a few to have ready to give? Can they be economical too please? Yes, Yes!
This cute easel card has a base that's 21cm x 10.5cm. So you get two bases out of a piece of A4 card stock. Score the base at 10.5cm & 15.75cm. I've used Very Vanilla.
You'll need a piece of card stock for the front panel (10.5cm x 10.5cm) & a mat for the inside (10cm x 10cm). I like mine to be the same colour so the card looks matchy matchy!! I've used Blackberry Bliss.
For the front decorative panel, cut a square of DSP that measures 10cm x 10cm. This is where economy comes in because you've probably got a few scraps lying around just waiting for this project! You'll also need a smaller piece of coordinating DSP cut to 3cm x 9.5cm - this will be for the base of the easel.
For the inside of the card, cut a piece of cardstock 9.5cm x 9.5cm. I would use the same colour as the card base. Mine is Very Vanilla.
Decorate however you like using the picture as a guide. The scalloped edged trim (9.5cm x 1.5cm, before cutting with a scallop edge punch) with the rhinestones works as the easel to hold the top in place so it stands nicely.
Happy days & happy crafting!
