DECKLED CIRCLES THINLITS

Christmas Card with holly and baubles

These dies are just gorgeous, and fast becoming a go-to!

You can use them for all sorts of things:

  • baubles,

  • highlight a focal point,

  • make a snowman or another fun critter by overlapping different sizes

  • make a 'rocker' card

  • make an easel card

  • mat a sentiment or photo for a scrapbook page

And there's probably tons more ideas.

The background of this card was made by stamping the Holly from Sentimental Christmas in Shaded Spruce into a piece of Basic White measuring 10.5cm x 14.3cm.

Using 2 of the Deckled Circles, I cut baubles out of the Glimmer Paper and Mercury Vellum (sponged around the edges). Attach a piece of gold twine to the back with a dimensional, then add more dimensionals to the back of the bauble and stick it to the stamped background. Then wrap the gold twine over the back of the stamped piece and secure with tape.

Make a small bow with a bit more twine and use a glue dot to attach it to the top of the bauble. Stamp a greeting directly onto the card layer.

Attach the whole thing to a card base using more dimensionals - I’ve used half a sheet of A4 in  Basic White, folded in half.

Finally, add the berries using Pearlised Enamel Effects. Do this last because it takes a while to dry, but it's worth it for the extra dimension and focal point.

Happy days!
