A SENTIMENTAL CHRISTMAS

Two Christmas Cards using patterned paper, Red, Green and White card stock & embellished with mini striped peppermints
Simple Christmas Card

I was inspired to make these cards by Mary Fish who has a really cute design using the Reindeer Days DSP from the current mini catalogue.

The paper I've used for my cards is from A Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) and when I first saw it, I became quite nostalgic for the Christmases of my childhood in the UK. Maybe it’s the traditional colours or the artwork, I’m not sure, but I love it.

The card base is Basic White with mats in Garden Green and Real Red. Having several mats on a card make it feel sturdy and substantial. The final mat is Basic White with a piece of the DSP cut on an angle.

The sentiment is from a retired set, and I chose it because in England we most often would say Happy Christmas, rather than the more American Merry Christmas. And that is my nostalgia!

A design like this is great for its simplicity and you can use up those smaller pieces of DSP. It’s also very quick, and that’s a huge bonus if you find yourself needing a few cards in a hurry!

Pop over to my online store to see the full range of patterns in this gorgeous paper.

Happy crafting.
